I am thrilled to be hosting my very first giveaway! I'm even happier that I'm partnering with a company and product that I truly stand behind for it. For over two years now I've used, loved, and recommended Ergo carriers. I recently joined their blogging team and now I'm so glad to be able to offer West Philly Mama readers a chance to win their choice of an ErgoBaby Bundle Of Joy which combines an original or organic Ergo carrier with a matching infant insert (such a good idea - especially for gifts or registries). Are you expecting? Do you have a newborn? Do you know someone who is/does? Do you like to wear your baby? Well, then you are in the right place.
I'm a long-time Ergo user and have used several versions over the years. I am a fan of the carriers and I feel like I have a pretty good feel for the product. I've been using the organic version in navy for the last week - and it hasn't disappointed.
Despite feeling like an ErgoBaby expert, I was pleasantly surprised by a new feature: They extended the waist belt on the original version! My first Ergo was an original and I was on the cusp of needing a belt extension (my next one was a Performance which has a longer belt) - so I expected this one to be quite snug a whole baby later. But I found that it fit comfortably with belt slack to spare!

The whole family has loved the Ergo since Leo was teeny-tiny |
The Bundle of Joy came in the mail right before I left to visit my family in Pittsburgh - and I dug the box it came in. It would be super easy to gift wrap and the easy to understand diagram makes it less intimidating to a new babywearer. The organic fabric is super soft and I really like the deep blue color. I couldn't wait to try it out.
ErgoBaby Bundle of Joy: Carrier AND Insert |
I nestled Zoe into the infant insert and snapped her into a little baby burrito.
Infant Insert: Seems comfy enough |
Newborn in the Ergo |
The sun/rain hood came in handy when I realized that Leo had done some "repacking" of the diaper bag and there was no sunhat for Zoe.
Don't worry squinty baby - there's a hood! |
Ergo: The Nap-Maker |
It was nice to enjoy a coffee break with my mom and catch up calmly while Zoe slept comfortably and soundly (and Leo stayed at home to play with Aunt Lissa). My mom said that the feature she'd recommend for improvement is a cup holder. Ha.
Happy Mama |
Of course Leo wanted a turn in it - and I was comfortable wearing my 27 lb baby, too. So newborn to toddler - it's a great all around carrier.
Toddler in the Ergo - Easy Peasy |
So now that I've reminded you of what you already knew: I think Ergo Carriers are swell - let's get to the giveaway part.

Love my Ergo! I wore it everywhere, even two at a time with my twins, 25#s each. My back felt great, it was my feet that hurt!
ReplyDeleteI love the ergo carriers, and have used them while nannying for lots of kids, they are definitely my carrier of choice. I also recommend them to all my doula clients. My partner and I are trying to conceive and definitely plan on using an ergo.
ReplyDeleteWould love to try the Ergo. My partner has a back condition and we're trying to find the perfect carrier for her as we'd both love to wear our (hopefully soon) baby.
ReplyDeleteI have tried the ergo with Kate (now 20lbs) on my back and find that the front strap digs into my belly, uncomfortably. Any suggestions? I got one from a resale shop last year, it's probably about 5 yrs old
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Ergo for my 26-pound toddler, from 6 pounds til now. In fact, the one I have was a hand-me-down from a pal now expecting her own tiny baby any day! I've worn hers to shreds. Literally. Would love to return the favor.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the belt strap isn't low enough? If I forget to snug it down over my hips (instead of waist) it's not nearly as comfortable.
ReplyDeletewonderful! I would love an Ergo!
ReplyDeleteI would wear the baby everywhere!
ReplyDeleteWe have one ergo and are itching to get another since we have 2 babies coming. :)
ReplyDeleteThe little baby burrito infant inserts are terrifyingly cute.
We love our Ergo! Got a new one for this baby, because with Ells we used a 7yo hand-me down. They do just keep getting better.
ReplyDeleteAre you wearing her on your back or front? If you are still front wearing her it might be time to switch to the back. I would also echo what Krista said. Try adjusting it higher or lower? Carrying the weight on my hips rather than waist helped me with lower back pain - which isn't the same thing you describe, but might also help. I watched a few video online to see how others were wearing them and made some adjustments. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI would love an Ergo! I wear my son everywhere!
ReplyDeletethis would make shopping so much easier!
ReplyDeleteAt the zoo and the fair this fall!

ReplyDeleteI borrowed an ergo, took Jack blueberry picking :) Loved it and would love to win so I can use my own to go camping, hiking, apple picking, everywhere :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to try one and wear my baby everywhere
ReplyDeleteEverywhere! Probably to the store so I can manage my other 2 boys and have hands free.
ReplyDeleteI will use mine on walks to the park
ReplyDeleteAs an adoptive mom, I wore my baby and now wear my 3 1/2 year old all the time!
ReplyDeleteI loved wearing my first daughter. I wore her everywhere
ReplyDeleteI will wear mine everywhere!!!
ReplyDeleteI am about to have baby three: I will wear the ergo everywhere!!!!!!
ReplyDeletewe're just about to bring home baby #4, which means i'll need my arms available for the other three... so i'll be wearing her everywhere! :)
ReplyDeleteI'll use it when I walk my older kids to school, shopping, and everywhere else!
ReplyDeleteI will wear my baby everywhere! Perfect way to stay close while keeping your hands free!
ReplyDeletewould love to use this at theme parks and just out and about
ReplyDeleteOMG I want this!
ReplyDeleteI'd love one for when my toddler wants her turn in the stroller, so I can switch my 8 month old to an Ergo. It would be so much easier than bringing the double stroller since my toddler doesn't usually want to ride (but always does at the most inconvenient times!). The zoo, the mall, the museum - we'd use this everywhere!
ReplyDeleteThis will be a gift for someone since I think I'm done my baby days (sigh).
ReplyDeleteThis is my parter's dream carrier...I'd love to win it for her.
ReplyDeleteAs for the cup holder, that could be an easy hack with cloth and mesh and snaps...
ReplyDeleteI would love to have. I have seen them in the store just haven't had enough money to buy one.
ReplyDeleteI borrowed one of these after we adopted our first child and loved it! I now have 4 kids and wish I had an Ergo. I would love to win one. Your kids are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI would love an Ergo- we have borrowed Bjorn and i would love something that can be worn as a backpack!
ReplyDeleteOkay, coming out of the woodwork to say I'd love to win this! I have a carrier lending library for my postpartum doula business but I've yet to have a structured carrier that I can lend out! Not only that but I love carrying our two year old on my back and I'm interested in how this compares to what we've been using. I am such a fan of well-structured, sturdy carriers that are good for both adult and baby. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love an ergo! They are so comfortable.
ReplyDelete...posted accidentally before I finished.
ReplyDeleteI would wear my baby everywhere. It's the best way to get around - especially in places where the ground is rough (ie everywhere in winter!)
I would LOVE to win this for baby #2!!! And knowing it could carry my toddler is a huge plus too. We used a borrowed Baby Bjorn for baby #1 and once DD got to a certain weight it was just too much for my back to continue wearing her, even though I wanted to. I think an Ergo would be much better for mama's back!!
ReplyDeletejust want to make sure my name/email got attached to this comment, not sure it worked when I tried to sign in :))))
ReplyDeletei use the ergo alot with my nanny kids and now that we are expecting our own.. I would love my own ergo :)
ReplyDeleteI would live to try an ergo with my 8 week old. I've heard so many great things about them.
ReplyDeletei wear my kid to community rallies for human rights, to the park and on the bus - everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI wear my babies around the house. Laura
ReplyDeleteStill trying to find the perfect carrier. Might have to suck it up and try the Ergo. LO loves being carried and hates being "strolled," but still hasn't been thrilled with any of our carriers :-(
ReplyDeletewould love to wear my lo to the park and on walks
ReplyDeleteeverywhere!
ReplyDeleteThis would be amazing for our first bub due in Nov!
ReplyDeleteLooks so comfy (for mum + baby!)
I would wear my baby out shopping with my friends or mom, on walks, around the house, to family events and pretty much anywhere else I would go. I hate having to lug around the large infant carseat and my LO loves to be help which makes it impossible to get things done around the house.
ReplyDeleteI love these so much!
ReplyDeleteI'll wear the baby everywhere except when I'm driving!
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that I need an Ergo for this next stage of wearing June! And, for the record, my 13 month chunker only weighs four pounds less than Leo!
ReplyDeleteYay! So excited to see this post! I've loved my Beco and have also tried the Ergo (which I also love!) I have a friend with a newborn who can't be anywhere but in-arms and this would be the perfect gift for her. :-)
ReplyDeleteOMG I could take the baby everywhere
ReplyDeletewould loveto know any other differences between organic and original, besides belt size, but since i have never used the ergo, but have heard some raves, would loveto try either one.
ReplyDeleteI will wear my baby boy (coming in 6 wks :) everywhere i can! I think Ergo carriers are a great product for mommies and babies. Especially when going to the park on a walk or when just tiding things up at home :)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to wear my daughter through the airport when I'm travelling with my 1 yr odl and 3 year old by myself in September!
ReplyDeleteI wore my baby everywhere. I am actually entering this because I have friends who are bringing their baby home from Ethiopia in the next few months and she really wants and Ergo.
ReplyDeleteWould love to have one for our newest baby -- she is 6-months old and in Ethiopia! We are just waiting to get her!
ReplyDeleteIt's best used for nap time when babe is super fussy works like a charm ;)
