Baby Loves Hip Hop

This is Leo singing his favorite song.  Please ignore his finger in his nose.  Ever since *someone* taught him how *hilarious* that is, he does it whenever there is a camera around.  (Thanks a lot, Aunt Lissa)

Anyway, the lyrics go "Here come the, here come the, here come the Dino five.  Here come the, here come the, here come the Dino five."  Which he sings, "Cuppa, cuppa, cuppa."

The song is the theme from the Baby Loves Hip Hop  Dino 5 album that Aunt Fanny gave us when Leo was born.  It's a great kids album - Really well produced (by Prince Paul) and it features artists from The Roots, Jurassic 5, and The Diggable Planets.   The songs are catchy with cute lyrics like when the T-Rex sings "I like long sleeves, but my arms are too short."

Well, Leo loves it.  Back when he still hated the car it was the only thing that would keep him from screaming his head off.  Now that he's better in the car we've tried to taper off, but he still requests it and it's a staple of road trips.  We even play it in the house sometimes - but honestly, at this point I'm pretty sure we've heard this cd thousands of times and we are ready for a break.  We are actively trying to limit the amount it gets played - so naturally, Leo has chosen it as the first song that he will sing on his own.

Of course, I can't get enough of it.  Which is good, because it's a constant soundtrack. He wants me to get in on the fun, too - he likes me to sing as he pinches my nose so that it sounds nasally.  He will clamp down on my nose and expectantly say "cuppa, cuppa, cuppa".  Obviously, I pretend I can't understand for a few rounds before giving in and singing it for him - just so I can hear him sing a bit.

I do wish Baby Loves Hip Hop would put out another album, so we can switch it up a bit from time to time, though.
