DDoW: Day Nine

Today we made a gingerbread house for the darkest days of winter calendar.  Our family is usually a graham cracker house kind of family - but I thought I'd splurge on a kit for an actual gingerbread house this year.  Leo loved building it - and loved the way the gingerbread smelled but was NOT on board with keeping it as a decoration rather than immediately eating it.

Do you eat your gingerbread houses or just let them sit as decoration until they are too stale to eat?  I've always just tossed them after a few weeks, but I guess I'll let Leo take a few nibbles in a few days?
