Week 11: So Far Away

I'm livid at that "blog from your phone" application. Not only did it only allow me to upload one picture, but it chopped off my baby's head!! Ugh!

Leo, Talula and I had a great week with my family - except that we were missing jb terribly. We thought we had everything figured out - jb found us a great apartment and we put a deposit down - but it turned out someone else had beaten us to it already, so we are back at square one hunting for an apartment. Boo.

jb got back home on Friday and on Saturday turned the big 3-0 (well, it's actually 28, but since I'm turning 30 next week, I've bumped her up a couple years so I'm not alone). To celebrate we invited family and some close friends over for dinner. I made jambalaya and everyone else brought sides or desserts. It was simple, but really lovely. Makes it so much harder to face a move.

I know that this posting is boring and sparse. I don't know what else to say, though. There's so much and nothing. I'm really looking forward to having everything figured out so that we can get back to chronicling the mundane.
