Radical Toddler

It seems Leo wants to follow in jb's footsteps as a rabble-rouser.  He clearly has been paying attention whenever we attend rallies - evidenced by how lately he has been chanting while he plays.  It's adorable - and I'm pretty impressed with his retention of the words and melodies that we hear at protests.  Some of his favorite chants include:

"Hey, hey! Ho, ho! Corporate greed has got to go!"
"Banks got bailed out! We got sold out!" (today he asked jb, "what 'sold out' means?"  It's unclear if he has any idea what 'bailed out' means...)

But his current favorite is to lead this call and response gem:

"What do we want?"
"Justice!"
"When do we want it?"
"Now!"
(x3...or more)
"If we don't get it?"
"Shut it down!"
(x3)

Check him out in action below:

  1. That video was so cute it was like literally being kicked in the ovaries with the cutest foot in the universe. I already wanted kids but if I hadn't, that would have convinced me.

  2. Ha! We'll be in trouble when he learns to manipulate the chants for his own agenda. Along the lines of "hey, hey, ho, ho, naptime has got to go!"

  8. Thanks for saying so! I think so, too - but I'm pretty biased. ;)

  11. :) We need to get our L and L together. I'm sure they could each teach each other some things - then they could take over the world with their cuteness.

  12. This age is so much more awesome than I expected. I mean - there is trickiness - but seeing their personality come through so strongly is so cool. I bet you are finding the same with S!
