Buena Suerte!

I remember when Leo was the age that Zoe is now. I was so excited to bring him to Mexico for the first time. There were so many reasons I was excited to bring him to Mexico - to meet family, to hear and learn more Spanish, to experience the culture, to see my grandmother's home...and not last (but not least) to taste the flavors. Food is such a big part of my experience of Mexico - and I couldn't wait to share it with him.
I was so excited to take him to the market place and pick out fruits and vegetables that just aren't available where we live (or are available in a pale flavorless version). Together we picked out a rainbow of produce to taste - and of course collected a few guavas from under the guava tree in my grandmother's yard. He loved them just as much I hoped he would.
Choosing Mangos at the Market w/ Abi |
When it was time to return home to Philly I stopped by the grocery store hoping to pick up some jarred baby food in flavors not available in the U.S. I was so disappointed to see that all the jarred baby food had added sugar! So I didn't purchase any and Leo had to wait until our next trip to have his next taste of some of these flavors.
This is why I'm excited to see Beech-Nut team up with Goya to bring flavors like mango and guava to grocery store shelves here in the U.S. I was so glad to see that there was no added sugar in the ingredients. Zoe still hasn't been to Mexico, but she has tasted Guava! Her favorite is the Mango-Peach mixed with yogurt. With warmer weather approaching I will make her some creamy mango popsicles using these purees. I'm glad I was able to share these flavors with her - and more importantly that they have a short, recognizable ingredient list.
Would you like to share these flavors with your family, too? Enter the giveaway below to win a gift basket filled with Beech-Nut Goya products and a $50 American Express gift card. There will be TWO winners! Good luck!
