jb had a conference to attend for work in Harrisburg this week, so rather than miss her for three days, Leo and I tagged along. I wasn't sure how good of an idea it was at first, but the weather/road conditions cooperated, Leo ended up loving it, and I don't think we distracted jb from her work commitments too much.
Leo reacted like the hotel was the most thrilling amusement park ever. Between the lighting (sconces and chandeliers everywhere!) and decorating (lots of flowers and trees - inside!) he was hooked the moment we walked through the doors.
When we got to the room he crawled all around checking out the new surroundings - his two favorite features being the mirrored closet doors (where he kissed his reflection for a long time) and the big window where he and daddy could look down at the city.
Joshua came with us.
We ate in lots of restaurants (and I got to see a friend I hadn't seen in years).
We watched tv (shhhhhh....)
And - the most exciting thing of all - we swam! Leo loved the swimming pool. I was worried he would be afraid or that it would be too cold for him, but he was so so so so so happy. And splashy. I need to get this kid into some swim lessons!
Yay for swimming!! Leo is such a cutie :)
